The solar photovoltaic glass is made up with low iron glass, solar battery, film, back glass and special metal wire etc. By sealing the solar battery on the place between a piece of low-iron glass and backward glass, it is the newest building high-tech glass. The low iron glass is covered on the solar battery, ensuring that there is more light transmittance to generate more power. The low iron glass features high strength after toughening treatment, which can bear greater wind pressure and temperature difference.  

It is widely used in many areas, such as building curtain wall, photovoltaic roof, sun shading and solar power supply system etc.

The installation form includes exposed frame, hidden frame or other methods coordinated with the curtain wall.

Introduction of photovoltaic glass

The photovoltaic glass is a kind of special glass which can generate electricity with solar radiation and be equipped with the relevant current lead and cable. With beautiful appearance, it can transmit light and generate power. Besides, it does not need fuel, without waste gas, heat, slag or noise pollution and it is widely applied, such as solar energy intelligent window, solar energy pavilion, photovoltaic glass construction ceiling and photovoltaic glass curtain wall etc. It can be divided into two types, such as crystalline silicon photovoltaic glass and film photovoltaic glass. The curtain wall often adopts the former one, which can be divided into monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic glass and polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic glass. The photovoltaic glass is made up of 5 parts, such as glass, PVB（EVA）coating, solar battery, PVB（EVA）coating and glass, which is similar to the laminated glass used for the construction with good safety performance. The photovoltaic glass with the transmittance of 5%～80% can be made through controlling the battery gap and edge gap between double glazings. Insulated photovoltaic glass is made by replacing the exterior layer of laminated glass as double glass laminated photovoltaic module. For the power generation efficiency of crystalline silicon photovoltaic module will decrease at high temperature, the laminated photovoltaic glass is used more in non-high temperature. The coating laminated glass features light, thin, flexible and portative. When the light is weak in the morning and evening, its power generation effect is better than that of monocrystalline silicon battery. However its conversion efficiency is lower than that of the traditional crystalline silicon battery.
